Coventry Rams Football and Cheer

The Coventry Rams have been part of the New England Pop Warner league, which is comprised of the six New England States, for over 50 years. Despite our smaller physical size, the New England Region has the second largest number of teams among Pop Warner's eight regions nationwide, and continues to grow on an annual basis. The Rams have been state champions as well as the 2017 New England champions (PeeWee Division) and have represented the league well in both football and cheer.

As the only national youth sports organization that requires scholastic aptitude to participate, Pop Warner is committed to developing America's young people on the field and off. Each year Pop Warner continues to expand its efforts in team and activity participation, as well as visibility and outreach in the community.

The Rams have been committed to the success of our young athletes in Coventry since August 1, 1960. In addition to our commitment to safety throughout practice and games, the Rams Football and Cheerleading Organization is also committed to supporting academics of each boy or girl. Our teams have had both first and second team All American Scholars and we are quite proud of their accomplishments.

We strive to develop a sense of bonding between families and teammates, and we also set an example of volunteerism and support to our community. Our league is 100% volunteer run with most of our funding coming from local businesses so that we can keep costs down and allow children to play a game that they love or cheer on the field and in competitions.

While our football and cheerleading teams have had continued success on the field, our players and cheerleaders are examples of determination, pride, and perseverance off the field as well.  We are proud to be a part of the Coventry community and welcome you to join the RAMS FAMILY by registering.

Since 1929, the Pop Warner Programs Philosophy has been that athletics and scholastics go hand in hand. At every level, Pop Warner programs seek to develop well-rounded young men and women who learn not only the fundamentals of football, cheerleading, and dance but also the importance of education in an atmosphere conducive to developing sound character while having a good time.
